INTRONAUT Announces New Album Title

June 6, 2008

Southern California's INTRONAUT is currently tracking drums for its new album, "Prehistoricisms", at Opera Studios in North Hollywood and recording guitars and bass at Castle Oaks Studios in Calabasas. Vocals are being completed at Clearlake Audio in North Hollywood, and the whole process is being engineered by Josh Newell (JANE'S ADDICTION). A late 2008 release via Century Media Records is expected.

"I can't even begin to express how excited we are about this record," said frontman and guitarist Sacha Dunable. "It's definitely our most densely packed body of work yet. In addition to the standard INTRONAUT angle of attack, we have some surprises including an awesome guest solo from NEGATIVA/GORGUTS guitarist Steeve Hurdle, as well as some truly jaw-dropping moments of Indian/metal fusion courtesy of Joe and Dave. Stoked."

The group has been critics' darlings, receiving numerous accolades from such major publications as Decibel, Metal Maniacs, Outburn and Revolver, among a slew of others. Decibel even listed "Prehistoricisms" as "One of the most anticipated releases of 2008." In October 2007, INTRONAUT released "The Challenger" EP, but this will be the bands first set of recordings with new guitarist and longtime friend Dave Timnick, with whom they have only recorded one PINK FLOYD cover ("Arnold Layne") for a Syd Barrett tribute disc up until now.

In less than a week, INTRONAUT will join THE OCEAN and LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR in one of the more diverse bills of the year for a short run through Arizona and California before heading out with MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT and BEHOLDTHE ARCTOPUS for The Ultimate Brodeo Tour.

INTRONAUT live in Vienna, Austria - November 2007:
